Just curius on 3 plus hour rides do yall ever have to take a pee brake? Im semi new to the sport my longest 2 rides where about 2-2.5 hours and after both u had to go prety bad how do yall go 4 hours strait?
Before the first ride together in a group of very experienced riders (actively riding amateur racing series) it was taken for granted that I already had a >very< good performance, that I knew how to dress, how to eat and drink properly. These experienced riders put me at the back of the peloton and said, stay here, don't go anywhere and watch everything and learn. And that went on for a long time. Today I'm an experienced rider and I'm definitely not going to let an amateur rider who has no idea how to ride in a group to go up and down and endanger everybody, it takes a lot of learning. 7--12 degrees Celsius on a sunny day, otherwise I ride on bare legs and one complete layer for the upper half of the body, but I am from the eastern EU and we are much more resistant to cold there.
that wahoo telling you you are going the wrong way is nothing new sadly. i have the same and that sucker constantly tells me to U or turn around. its VERY annoying.
Would be careful on the eating a lot. 60-100 is not the norm for everyone. Would test out how much your body can actually take before eating that much. Take too much and risk constipation. #askmwhowIknow 😳

I’m 31 years old and 108kg, very unhappy with my weight and looks, and I think I’m not in a good place mentally because of that. I’m starting to cycle and trying to do a calorie deficit. Just watching this video gave me an inspiration I can get into shape and be healthier.
Awesome video - sorry to dig up an old video but I am looking for a video to help the chain gang/group ride/drop ride that I take part in/lead - We have had a bunch of new people join which is awesome but they lack ettique and group riding "sense" and unfortunately had a crash in the bunch due to overlapping wheels a "town sign sprint". Things like calling, how to ride the paceline, townsign sprint ettitque, general consideration for people in bunch (yo yo on wheels/snotting etc)

Input from grouchy old man. First, the old rule still holds fast. No group rides until you can ride rollers for at least 45 minutes without needing to touch a wall or support. Second, no surging or balking at front. Steady speed. Third, signal intent with plenty of time for other riders to react. Finally, no overlapping wheels.

Going up is a lot less scary.
9:59 on this turn as I was descending, a driver coming uphill crossed the double yellow to turn into the gravel and blocked my entire lane with his car. I slammed into his passenger side and flipped over his roof. It was my first time doing Mt. Ham and I was so close to home! It happened on my 35th mile. My bike was totaled and I walked away with some bruises and cuts. I took photos of his car and the road for the police report. After taking photos I got on the phone with SJPD and then the driver took off! Thankfully I got his plate number and they found him. This happened a couple weeks ago. I did Mt. Ham yesterday and got my redemption, but there were several cars that took the corners extra sharp and were on the center paint. So many close calls… Stay safe everybody! Hamilton is a dangerous road with plenty of fast drivers who gamble on every corner thinking they have the entire road to themselves and use as much space as possible.
That’s a scary story! Glad you only had bruises and cuts. Can I ask, what time of day were you riding? I only ask because I have found the road to be fairly vacant early in the am.

Have you changed your eating habits? Losing weight is 80% of what you eat and 20% of physical activity. You literally can lose weight by just changing what you eat! Physical activity factors in all other benefits!!!

Hello can you please suggest me something to improve my ftp and any training plan suggestions on zwift that i can follow or anything specific plan that will increase my ftp? and i forgot to add that i have an tt event after 2to3 months. And i really need to increase my FTP for that and some power so that i can hold that for an hour effort because it is an 42km tt. So please if you can give me any suggestions i would be helpful like for me now i am doing 2x20mins and then gradually increase it by 3x20 then 2x30 so that I will train for an one hour effort. But i don't have anything structured training in between for that so does doing any zwift will help me in increasing my ftp and for time trail event? Please reply back🙏

"Zone 2" has many very different definitions. It can be anywhere from 60-85% depending on the person's lactate, and which expert you ask. 60% is radically different training from 80%. You can also reach any heart rate zone with endless combinations of cadence, grade/resistance, and duration of intervals. What cadences and heart rate percentages did you spend the most time in? What was your training distribution? Did you find increasing cadence, gear/resistance, or duration most improved your FTP?

You need to track your macros. Protein, carbs & fat. Protein 1.0 × your body weight = grams of protein. Focus on lean protein, unrefined carbohydrates and healthy fats. Stay away from the seed oils. I have a degree in Nutrition & Dietetics

Scared to get started. Worst weight of my life right now at 240 and have done no stretching or exercising in years. it’s all a pizza/soda gut. Because of that, I’m afraid to hurt myself or damage the bike at my weight (old 80s metal road bike) so I’m wondering what the best way to ease into it all would be without hurting myself. I would absolutely love to ride the Camino de Santiago in the fall and would be so proud of myself if I pulled it off. Any advice is very welcomed!!!

I'm not overweight, but I've been unhappy with my eating for the past few years. Despite exercising a good amount, I've gradually started to gain fat. I used to get away with it because I was so active when I was younger, but can't anymore. Thank you for sharing how you did it!
